The cardiology service at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a puppy performers to star in a video promoting the fundraising campaign for an upcoming Cavalier King Charles Spaniel research project. We need at least three Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies who will be between approximately 8 weeks and 6 months of age in February-early March. The pups don’t have to be from the same litter, but similar ages would be helpful. Filming will take place at the vet school in Blacksburg, VA or a nearby location on a mutually agreeable date in February or early March. It should take 1-2 hours.
The video will be featured on Virginia Tech’s Jump crowdfunding website (https://crowdfund.vt.edu/) from March 26-May 11, 2018 as part of our cardio group’s fundraising campaign. We hope this research project will ultimately help us improve our understanding of this wonderful breed’s unfortunate predisposition to mitral valve disease.
If you have puppies you think might be destined for the silver screen, please contact Mindy Quigley, Clinical Trials Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 540-231-1363. You can also contact her to find out more about how you can support the vet school’s cardiology research, including their upcoming Cavalier project.
