Did you know that bladder stones can cause pain and damage in dogs, even dogs who display no obvious symptoms? The Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech is seeking healthy male miniature schnauzers and those with a history of bladder stones for a study, funded by the Morris Animal Foundation, which aims to improve the detection of bladder stones and achieve better outcomes for dogs that develop them. Contact email@example.com or 540-231-1363 to see if your schnauzer can take part in the study or visit http://bit.ly/schnauzer-study to learn more. All study related procedures take place at the college’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Blacksburg, VA.
Note: Admissions for this study are closing at the end of February. The study includes a free physical exam, abdominal ultrasound, urinalysis, serum biochemistry, and optional overnight hospitalization.
