The Shawnee Kennel Club will host the Dr. Claudia Orlandi seminar, The ABCs of Dog Breeding and Practical Canine Anatomy and Movement–A Two-Part Seminar. The meeting is scheduled for September 7 at the Winchester Travelodge, 160 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, VA 22602
The ABC’s seminar is an introduction to the topics that are covered in the ABC’s of Dog Breeding Home Study Program and explains many of the practical genetic breeding principles that can benefit breeders of all breeds of dogs. Included in the seminar is an optional hands-on workshop with live dogs on how to estimate forequarter and hindquarter angulation. Easy-to-use measuring tools are part of this workshop.
The goal of Practical Canine Anatomy and Movement is to take a practical, step-by-step-approach to give the participants a greater understanding of both structure and movement.
This is a two-part seminar running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The $85 registration covers bot seminars and includes breakfast and lunch as well as two workbooks,
